Hey TUSooner, did you like Ellen's commencement address?

I liked the humor and loved the advice.

God bless Ellen.

Seriously, they got Ellen D.? All we got was David McCullough, a two-time winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award, and a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the United States' highest civilian award. ;)

Funny stuff.

That's the first time I saw it. Very funny. And a very good piece of advice about being honest and compassionate and true to yourself. I see so many kids (for example, some of my daughter's spoiled rich soccer teammates) who have no idea of what's truly good or excellent, so they waste their lives following the herd and chasing after the latest trivial thing. In the process, they have no consideration of others (literally, they don't even consider anyone but themselves) Their shallowness and blindness really makes me sad for them. They would probably benefit from that speech... or maybe a slap in the chops. :)
