Each side thinks that they're right, and that the other side is a bunch of imbeciles for thinking the way they do. Combine that with the anonymity afforded by a message board and you get what often happens here - name calling and the like.

...I'm not innocent of it myself.

I think it's like OU football fans. Sure, you hear the NickZepps and Leroy Lizards calling in talking about how if Sam goes down we're ****ed or the OLine didn't push hard enough in only getting 4.7 yards per carry. But the majority of us are just happy to see touchdowns, wins, and fun football.

You've got a few people like Tuba and Rush that seem to flip every time someone says the word "Liberal", and a few like LAS and KC who take heavy exception to their antics. But most of us just sit there and think "Lord, please don't let this group of politicians **** us over."
