I hope it's not true :(

If it is, it's time to permanently retire No. 23

RIP my friend. You had an infectious smile and lethal turnaround!! You were a better person than you were a college basketball player and that's hard to top.

Any way we can get a sticky for this? 23 days for #23? I think that would be nice.

This is really sad news. He was before my time, but I know who he was. He made OU basketball fun and exciting. My condolences to his family.

I am shocked. Every time you saw him, even after the amputation, he had the Wayman smile, so I assumed he was getting better. We knew he was ill, but he spent his last moments making us feel better so we were hopeful he was getting better. Now that he has passed, there is nobody to take up his spot in our life. My condolences go out to his family along with our thanks for sharing his life's moments with us.

He acted happy so nobody else would worry, from family, to friends, to fans, God bless him :(

Thoughts and condolences go out to the Tisdale and the OU family.

I've kind of kicked this idea around the last couple of hours: I think it would be great if OU named the court at the LNC in Wayman's honor, Wayman Tisdale Court at Lloyd Noble Center. While OU has had success in basketball before the original 23, Wayman was perhaps the most influential person in the modern era of Sooner hoops.

I'm totally stunned. He was one of the Sooner greats.
