I liked his highlights, looks like he has some deep ability and good hands. Avg catch was 18 yards - would be good if he can gain about 15 pounds this year and another 15 next year and be about 205 ish...

If we have a kid (McClain) who might have speed and yes that's a big if, then why are we going after kids like DeMarco Cobbs who not that long ago ran a reported 4.76? I know that Stoops recruits "football players", but isn't it time that we go after real speed?

I dont think there is such a thing anymore, we heard for over a month how Florida was going to run up and down the field on us and we should have beat them. 1st of all, any 40 time in HS should be taken with a grain of salt, second, if you are in the right position, speed doesnt matter. Our players are coached so well that speed is relative

But Collier doesn't 4.76 seem pretty slow for a WR? I mean if he was in the 4.6 range, but thats almost a 4.8. Maybe it was just one bad 40, but if not then he needs to be playing LB.

MK ran a 4.7 at the combine didnt he

Cobbs is being recruited by everyone, I'd dare say his supposed 4.7 time is no more accurate than all the 4.3 times we see reported.

In other words, Cobbs is probably about a 4.5 guy.

He ran that 4.76 at the 2009 U.S. Army National Combine so I'll believe it.

On one of those recruiting sites or the other (It was Scout, I just looked) they have him at a 4.50

All I know is he's plenty fast enough to be recruited by everyone in the country. He's been offered by Bama, Florida, OU, LSU, Texas, and USC among others.

Those schools don't recruit a lot of 4.76 receivers.

Rivals has him listed at 4.76 so it probably was scout.
