Sounds like very strong demand. How many seats was OU allotted? I read that after the initial sale, tickets would be offered to the Cowboys season ticket holders and then, in late June?, there could be more allotted to the schools to distribute.

Colley is not only a Playa...he is well connected.

Listen to Jlew...he can help you with your anxiety.

I got a National Championship ticket 2 days before the game...flew down on Gameday and then flew Home the next morning. Things can always happen if you put yourself in the right place.

Tickets will go sale to the public for sure. Tickets will be under face close to kickoff, we just wanted to have tickets in hand.

I'm already dreading the traffic.

It is not illegal to resell the tickets. Just to resell them for higher than face value.

And not all cities/states have that law.

I would say that this is very important information to know going into this game, if this indeed applies for this game at Jerryworld.

Given past ou/tx games, I would say that the law has applied in this state in the past... but does it apply to the city of Jerryworld?

If it is a city/state law...yeah it will apply.

I would not purchase a ticket that is selling more than face value anyway.

Nowadays, you have to be careful of fake or copied tickets as well.

A friend of mine bought a ticket from Ebay last year. It looked legit, until we got to Arrowhead to play Missouri.

He had to prove a lot of crap and where he purchased the ticket and what not just to stay out of trouble.

Isn't the new stadium in Arlington? Dallas ordinances would have no effect, but of course the state laws would. Most scalping rules seem to be local/city right now.

same story here, my Dad and I asked for 4 $100 and got 2 $50 and 2 $80. I hope it is bc of large OU demand and they are not passing out a large chunk to local DFW/Cowboy people.

Just asking for the sake of those wanting to go -- I am deferring this game to NP so I don't have to experience Dallas traffic again.

haven't checked my emails, now im not sure I want to. :( From what i've read, the whole seat license thing at the new stadium gives you first crack at any event at that venue. Sounds like all the lower bowl corporate folks went ahead & opted for the OU game seats.

Asked for 150 tickets and got 80, called and ask where they would be and got the old song and dance about they didn't know yet. BS I just told them to cancel them as I was tired of getting end zone seats which I assume I would get. Lady said they only got 25,000 tickets and the demand was much higher. Well she has 4 more now.

Cowboys PSL'rs received an email providing a presale opportunity for those tickets beginning at 10:00 this morning. According to that email, the deadline for the presale purchase is Friday, so maybe they'll go on sale to the general public on Satuday?

It's interesting that technology has come so far in the ticket world and yet we don't get tickets until months after we pay for them and in the case of OU/UT a couple of weeks before the game.

It won't be long before they ask for payment for tickets today for the 2014 season and then send the tickets via e-mail the night before each game.

It's so dang transparent but there is nothing we can do about but quit buying and that's NOT an option.

At least we're not Aggie A&M, where you have to buy into the 12th Man concept now and hope that there will be 1st through 11th guys on field that do not embarrass you to the point of you not wanting to be a 12th man. :D

Or, to take the concept further (they call their athletic director "Dollar Bill" for a reason, heh), pay hundreds more for tickets at Jerryworld for a non-bowl bound team and an OK opponent at best than another conference team that was in the national championship game last year, who will play a team that is a legit threat to BCS bust year in year out.

Ain't that a squeeze to the ol' army? :D

BYU was allotted 7500 tickets and they are already sold out so I wold guess that OU was allotted the same.

7500+7500=15000.

I have heard from someone that the game will be configured to hold 80k.

80k-15k=65k

 so, the game's gonna have 65,000 aggies and wh0rns?

Yea apparently Dallas season ticket holders will get in on it after the first 15,000 and then they will sell to the public. I have no worries cause my seat's free.

Oklahoma is in the middle of a similar ticket distribution and is going through a much larger allotment, something like 35,000. Once both schools have reached their allotment, tickets are offered to Dallas Cowboy season ticket holders. Once that process has cycled, BYU will find out if there are more tickets for BYU fans to purchase, using the same formula, according to Tittle.

hmm

i guess we are counting it as a home game?

Right before kickoff you will be able to find tickets for 30 bucks or so. That's just a guess. Remember this game is not even as big as a bowl game, and some of those still don't sell out. I have 2 tickets already, but my friends still needs some, so 30 minutes before kickoff is best bet.

You can find OU/UT tickets right before kickoff for $130 bucks or so. This game does not even compare to OU/UT.

My guess is people will be almost trying to give away tickets for free, right before kickoff.

Thats just nuts? How did they not know that the demand would be high? This was not handled well. This is suppose to be a home game for OU. How many seats are taken up by season ticket holders in Norman? Its not like our fan base has any trouble traveling to the Dallas area, and even though this is not OU/texas, it is the season opening game. How many does that stadium hold?

yep, that is what makes me a little nervous. The cowboys do play pre-season games on the 21st, and 29th. So hopefully dallas fans will just go to those games, and stay away from OU/BYU. Unless if they are dallas sooners that is.

Whats the estimate for Sooners in the greater Dallas Area? I'm seen the stat before by someone.

OU - 63

We asked for 7 - $100, and got 2 - $100, and 5 - $80.

What really annoys me is the parking fee--$30 is outrageous, but $40 for the right to be farther away and have a tailgate is just crazy.

If you wear several layers of clothing that day you can complete the Romney impersonation by changing your loyalty every hour. Once it is clear the Sooners are going to win (say after the third Max Hall sack and fumble), you can retain your Sooner gear.

I hear you - live in Trophy Club - expecting 360 / 30 to be a parking lot.

Really, suprised by current prices on Stub Hub and other ticket services, especially in this economy.
