Heh, some interesting facts about the $17 Billion in savings Squanderer in Chief was able to extract from the one year 3,400,000,000,000.00 budget:

· $17 billion is less than one half of 1% of the entire $3.55 trillion FY10 budget.

· CBO estimates that interest costs will be over $172 billion for FY10, or ten times what the administration is proposing to save.

· $17 billion is about 2% of the $787 billion stimulus bill passed on February.

· $17 billion is less than 5% of the interest expense created by the stimulus bill.

· CBO has projected that legislation signed by President Obama has added $422 billion to FY2010 deficit, about 25 times the FY2010 savings proposed in this budget.

· The Federal government has already provided up to $173.4 billion in financial assistance to AIG, or ten times what the administration is proposing to cut from the budget.

· The Federal government has already provided almost $36 billion in TARP aid to the auto industry, or twice what he administration is proposing to cut from the budget.

· Since President Obama has taken office, total U.S. debt has increased by over $600 billion. $17 billion is less than 3% of new debt created during this administration’s first 105 days.

· Agencies reported improper payment estimates of $72 billion for fiscal year 2008 for a select group of programs. This represents about 4 percent of the $1.8 trillion of reported outlays for the related programs.

Oblahma's revenue projections are way off (IMO) as they get confiscatory on taxes. People will be clamming up and not working as hard to generate the revenue they expect...CBO is probably more correct. I don't get it, how do the Libs and Progressives expect a plan that tax collections will be the same as they increase the tax rate??? People being people will shield as much as possible or be negative incentivized to earn with confiscatory tax rates. Read today that the UK is now up to ~62%. That is wack!

Don't give Johnny Mack any fuel sitting here hoping the end of the world comes to give us all a break from the oppressive tax burden we and our children are getting set up to shoulder. If JM can break suction on Obama's rear end long enough and quit running around saying we are all a bunch of Drudges, or Sean Hannity he can see that there is no way we can ever get ourselves out of debt. The only solution would be to declare our government bankrupt, default on all of our loans, and start all over. Of course, that could cause WWIII, so we'll just have to see. Personally, I am looking for ways to quit working 3 jobs and join the ranks of the "takers" versus being on the other end of working my a#ss off simply to continue to watch my taxes go up. Why fight it? I'm going to sit back and let the government take care of me. I'm getting on the gravy train. Hard to tax income you don't have? I don't need to worry? China will be very pissed off if we default. I don't know if they would be mad enough to start a war, but they will be plenty pissed.

And they have already said that if we try to inflate our way out of this or continue to monetize the debt that they will consider it a de facto default.

I bet that we have a failed treasury auction during the 3Q of this year, if not sooner.

Do you want to be involved in govt healthcare? Looks like we might not get a choice. Do you like public restrooms, public schools, and public transportation? I'm sure public healthcare will be just as grand.

Your rights as an individual are going to be smashed for "the public good" over the next 2 years. God willing, people wake the f*ck up and put some libertarian minded Republicans or Libertarians in congress in 2010 or we are screwed.

The good news is, even if we can't ever retake congress, what they are doing is unsustainable. It will collapse. Don't let anyone tell you that the skittle sh*ting unicorn can't go broke. They certainly can if revenues to the IRS crash* and we have a bond market dislocation. I pray for the day. And I will laugh my *** off when it happens.

I'll tell you when to start worrying. The FED is buying back 300 billion worth of treasury bonds in order to suppress the interest rates that we pay. When it fails (to keep yields low) and they announce, "We're going to do it again, and again, and again..." that is when we start to p*ss into a singularity.

Jerk, check this out...

State Sales Tax Revenues tell the story. California is absolutely cratering, for example:

Sales taxes were $452 million lower (-50.9%) than last April, and personal income taxes were down $5.7 billion (-43.6%).

Fifty percent?! FIFTY?

California is responsible for thirteen percent of the total US GDP and if it were an independent nation it would be the tenth largest economy in the world.

The idea that we can have some sort of economic recovery while the sales tax receipts - which are a direct measurement of consumer activity - are down by half is pure insanity. Where is the economic activity that is going to create this "recovery"?

And let me remind everyone - sales tax receipts are not a lagging indicator, they tell you what is going on right now.

There is another way to see how serious our situation is: Compare the unfunded liabilities of Social Security and Medicare with the net worth of every household in America.

According to the Federal Reserve flow-of-funds figures for year-end 2007, our collective net worth as consumers was $62.7 trillion. By the end of 2008, the same figure had fallen to $51.5 trillion. Another year of growth for Social Security and Medicare liabilities would bring total unfunded government promises to about $46 trillion. That's nearly 90% of our net worth.

If consumer net worth fell an additional $5 trillion -- the same amount it fell in the last three months of 2008 -- we'd be broke.

Yes, you read that right.
