21 years I've been waiting for these 3 slacker MDs to come to the phone or answer their pages. I first noticed it in Queensryche's album Operation Mindcrime. And I've since heard it in no less than 2 dozen movies and TV shows. WTF?! Isn't there another generic hospital sound a movie studio can dig up to use once in awhile?

Along similar lines, the stock "videogame sound" is from the Atari 2600 version of Pac-Man. It cracks me up how the kid will be playing an X-Box or Playstation, but the sound coming from the TV is always Atari 2600 Pac-Man.

It's about as common as the "Wilhelm Scream."
