When I first saw the headline of this thread, my initial thought was:
Mike Gaddis, Rufus Alexander, etc.

Heh. The ones I'd show up for would be Ben Harper, Mos Def, and possibly the Arctic Monkeys.
I'd consider the Beastie Boys, too.

I like it. I think I'm only going to be able to make 1 day this year though. So, my fingers are crossed for a solid Saturday lineup.

i seemed to have missed mos def on the list. he would be a definite watch for me as well.
i think ACL hasn't been able to live up to the last time i went though. you dont beat elvis costello and the pixies on the same bill very easily.

I'm happy that ACL isn't a Sasquatch redux, like Lolla and Bonnaroo seem to be. With the exception of their headliners, if I went to L or B, I'd see all the same bands.
ACL is late enough in the year it seems to mix up the second-tier acts. Those are the ones that I like the most anyway...
Last year introduced me to The National, The New Pornographers, Yeasayer, Cold War Kids, MIA...I'm hoping this year's group is just as interesting.
Oh, and I just saw Michael Franti on the list above. He was great as Sasquatch last year.
The top line's good enough for me. Ben Harper, Sonic Youth, Toadies. Discounted tickets thru work, hells yeah.
