Not quite sure if all 5 will be 1st rounders, but they will all certainly be drafted. I'm worried that DeMarco and Trent may slip a little farther than most expect unless they just have monster seasons next year and grade well at the Combine/Pro Day.

Also, i'd look for Chris Brown's name to stir up a lot of buzz this time next year. I think he'll be one of those guys that Kiper and McShay rave about as being sleeper picks.

Look at all the Gators and Sooners in Round 1. There was a lot of talent on that field in January (obvious statement of the century).

I think 5 Sooners in round 1 is a little unrealistic, definitely 3 (Sammy, Gresham and McCoy).

I think with the recent history of our OL guys slipping in the drafts, I'd be surprised if Williams went that high. DM needs a huge, HEALTHY season to go in the first. I'd personally expect CB to be drafted before DM, but that's just me.

I totally agree. If Demarco returns in full form like he was from the Tech game forward and stays healthy all year he will have a shot at winning the Heisman. I am keeping my fingers crossed he can stay healthy. 1st round is all about athleticism and DeMarco has it.

DM has 2 things working against him going anywhere in the 1st...

1. Knee injury problems..which leads to
2. hasn't shown he can carry the bulk of the carries in a season..teams like to pick guys who are workhorses in the 1st...even if they do split time with somebody else(Ronnie Brown) he showed that he could carry the ball a lot and get tough yards

Right now, I'd put him somewhere in the early 3rd...If he has a full healthy season, he could move up to early 2nd

Unless Murray can show the kind of speed he had his freshman season then I think the combine will expose him and he'll be lucky to get 2nd or 3rd. He has had some major injuries and he may never have the top end speed he once had. Good Luck DeMarco!

I've seen it more in football than any other sport - the year when money's on the line (the "contract year," if you would), players have this ability to suddenly have the best season of their lives.

I think it is perfectly reasonable to think that DeMarco could have this type of season... in this year or the next :D

I completely agree about the speed issue. Murray may have gotten his ability to make cuts again last season. Before he got injured again late in the year, but he never quite seemed to gotten his speed all the way back. Maybe it's because the guy has put on more weight/muscle since his freshman year is another reason he's slowed down some too.

I'm confused with this statement :confused: Other than Duke going lower than most expected who else was slipping recently that we had drafted?


Chester went way higher than most thought he would. Davin went first round his senior year and he was a guard. Jammal Brown was the first tackle taken and he played right and not left tackle. Loadholt was getting blasted by the end of the year by most "experts" and his stock steadily rose the closer the draft got.

Not only that but the 3 first day picks from OUr oline in the league all start.
