By "decent," I mean "I'm friggen deploying in 5 days and have got to get at least one chase (first one in 5 years) before I leave...and there's at least a prayer of crap happening." So it's off towards Woodward.

Well, I can now say that I've seen (and driven through) hail so thick you couldn't see the freaking ground. It was mayhem from about 15 miles west of Alva all the way into town. We were on the one storm that precipitated the tornado warning in Woods county...and were on the rotation that prompted the warning. The sole reason why Alva didn't get nailed was because the outflow of the storm to the southwest cut off the inflow feeding that rotation...then it got rain-wrapped and that was it.

Other than that, I almost ran over one male turkey and four pheasants.

Still, a decent chase considering it was my first one in 5 years.
