The Sooners are focusing their efforts on another great big man — for the class of 2012. Perry Ellis, a 6-foot-8 freshman at Wichita Heights in Kansas, is already considered one of the nation’s top players.
Ellis was the first freshman ever named Gatorade Player of the Year for Kansas, after he led Heights to the Class 6A state championship. The Sooners are in pursuit, along with most of the major powers.
He has Kansas as his favorite at this point.
