The season is off to a rousing start with an Opening Day road win in Planet Hooston yesterday. As usual, I expect the Cubbies to finally break through this season in spite of the fact that it seems like every game is an impossible struggle. Oh baseball, how I've missed your singular cruelty.

And the Cubs lose in extras tonight, 3-2. Suck.

they are up 10-6 in the 7th right now, came out firing scoring 8 runs in the first 2 innings, then let Houston back in it

All Milton Bradley does is see pitches. Dusty Baker and him would probably get in fights daily over his patience.

Heh.

Oh, and CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN!

Ramirez is out of the lineup today, too. Bradley, Soto, and Ramirez could all be back if there is a game tomorrow. Allovasudden, a rainout today might not be so bad.

I am fine with games like today if the pitchers are on like Ted Lilly was this afternoon, it looked like a miserable day for baseball though

If a team goes 10-1 in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?

Collier11

If the Cardinals blow 30+ saves in one year, does the front office hear that and get them a proven closer...ummm, NO! 4 down already :(

It does when it's 11-1!

There seriously might be more employees of the Marlins and the the teams they play against than fans at the games.

Man, I can hardly wait until the Cubs get to pad their record by playing the Nationals.

anyone else in the okc area tired of the fox station here playing yankees games on sat and not showing the cubs cards game for the second straight weekend.

I only ask because I was wondering if anyone knew why tulsa gets the cubs cards and we get the east coast game.

Collier11
4/22/2009, 10:03 AM
I luck out, Cox channel 7 shows a ton of Cards games but I see what youre sayin, it is frustrating. Not everyone cares about the frickin Yankers

Did Cox 7 show the cubs cards game this past Sat, and are they showing it this sat? What sucks is my dad in tulsa gets it on fox but apparantely there is some sort of disruption in the space time continum in the 90 miles between tulsa and okc.

I just don't understand how the two cites are in two completely different "markets".

Collier11
4/22/2009, 10:52 AM
not sure yet, probably depends on if WGN shows the game or not

bri
4/22/2009, 11:50 AM
I'll never understand MLB's broadcast rules. There have been times when the Cubs play the Astros where you could pick from three channels to watch the same game - WGN, FSNSW, ESPN.

mlb.tv has the same blackout rules all across OK. I think the FOX Saturday game is chosen by the local stations.

usually it's a regional pick unless they feel there is a 'compelling' national matchup.
