What a great honor for Blake and OU. How though was it not unanimous? Not to be a homer or anything but anyone who didn't vote for Blake needs to have his/her head examined. I watched Blake and Hansbrough on the same court and it was no contest. Blair is a beast but c'mon people. Thirty double-doubles and any random five minute highlight seals the deal.

First time a university has had Heisman and POY in the same year, right?

Yes. And I still don't see how Handsblow got some votes.

I dunno about history. These 3 guys were pretty elite in their college days also.

He definitely deserves it.

Interesting that this is happening around the same time David Robinson is announced for the Hall of Fame, b/c that's who Blake Griffin's playing style reminds me of. Not quite as strong or fast, but just as quick and with better low post moves.

Hrm. I don't know about that comparison. Robinson was considered soft through most of his career, and I can't imagine anyone putting that label on Griffin.
