Used to do sports for CNN and then later Fox Sports..He did the voice over for a couple of sports games and did some work on American Gladiators, the last one not the good one...Anyway, We had been sitting next to each other this week at this conference..After I heard him talk, I said Are you Van Earl Wright? He said yes and we shot the breeze for about 30 minutes..He had went into rehab and when he got out, he quit doing TV to go to work for a recovery center at Sundance...said it helped out so much and as long as he was in TV, he didn't think he would be able stay sober...
Anyway, I told him how much I enjoyed his baseball calls and he did one for me with my name in it....
