Should be fun, and there is something comforting about being in a crowd where everyone is dressed exactly alike except for the adults. But seriously folks, FFA is by far the most useful of the vocational clubs for youths.

So you say that you're judging kid's work? (http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=irule)

Future farmers is one group I can get behind. Without farmers I would starve, and I like to eat, and drink beer which needs farmers to get its start.

Seriously though, agricultural land and production capacity is one of the fundamental strengths of the United States. I've even heard it argued that our robust agriculture is a form of national security (at least we can eat).

Without farmers we would not have the luxury of living in cities, playing on the internet, and working in air conditioned offices. I'm thankful for those young people who take up the profession of farming. Unless you hunt, fish, and garden for all of your food a farmer is feeding you and freeing your time up for endeavors beyond meeting your most basic need for nutrients.

The marketing plans were pretty solid this year, and should have a decent shot at a top finish at Nationals again this year.
