It's more important than Columbus Day.

That's more of a state level holiday, much like an Arbor Day.

Yeah, and that kind of Federal attention is not considered a holiday.

My favorite MLB season was 1994. We need more of those.

Oh, don't do that. I can't remember what I had for breakfast yesterday.

Why 1994?

(strike or something?)

It should be a holiday in Japan at least.

I agree it should be a national holiday. You don't need steroids to play basketball, 6'9" your in. What are they going to do make you dribble harder.

Quite true, especially when you consider the contrast in what each gave to impoverished Caribbean countries.

Strike indeed...best thing ever happen to the lame game that is baseball...I mean Slowball. It's funny too because the Montreal Expos, which have always sucked, was the best team in the NL when the season was canceled. Ah well....the game sucks and is a worthless POS, so-called sport.

College Baseball is different. I love that game and I wish there was more of that on TV than Major League Bull****.

Yep. And MLB isn't worth paying attention to until after the All-Star break. The season is too damn long.

I say this often about football and basketball...especially basketball. But I have to disagree with you on baseball. Firstly you have that gawd awful ping of the aluminum bat. Worst TV sound ever. Second, 99% of the pitchers are really just throwers with no idea how to pitch. Hell there are still a lot of colleges that are calling pitches from the dugout. Takes all the fun out of the pitcher/batter matchup.

I do like to see me some good college games...but in any given week, aside from the postseason, there might be one or two. With MLB, there's usually at least one good game a day.
