The NFL Draft is officially one month away. (http://www.nfl.com/draft/2009)

Quick googling reveals that the Indy Colts are interested in taking Duke (http://www.examiner.com/x-4450-Indianapolis-Colts-Examiner~y2009m3d22-Indianapolis-Colts-2009-NFL-Draft-Offensive-guard-Wholl-be-available) at No. 27.

This site (http://www.king5.com/sharedcontent/northwest/sports/nfl/stories/NBC_FB_Col_300032355_draft_09_the_wide_receiv.11b6 a8.html)ranks Iggy as the seventh-best WR available.

An insider site that I don't have access to reports that Loadholt had a private workout with da bears.

This story (http://www.bellinghamherald.com/sports/story/831757.html)praises Nic's backpedaling and speculates him as a potential Seahawk.

Also, did you know OU has had 40 players drafted since 1999? (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=cr-footballfactories031609&prov=yhoo&type=lgns)

damn, whatever happened to Nic Harris. He was predicted as a first rounder at the begin of the year.....

was his senior year really that unimpressive for NFL scouts?

It all boiled down to the 40 time...There were a few DEs who ran as good as,or better than Nic.
Evveryone wanted him at safety, but his speed drills have them thinking he's more of a LB in the NFL...position switch=drop in draft.
...At least that's what I've gathered

I'd heard the interest in Loadholt has diminished.

Sad. I thought he would have been a for sure deal at one time.

I heard Duke was getting more and more looks.

I think Loadholt will have a chance to prove himself as a RT even if it's as a FA.

I don't remember this being the case. Drafted yes, but I don't remember him being talked about as a 1st rounder. Maybe you're drinking too much my young friend. :D

This from newsok.com

Former Sooner offensive tackle Phil Loadholt was in Pittsburgh on Wednesday meeting with Steeler officials, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Though he played on the left side in college, Loadholt is being considered a right tackle prospect in the NFL. His 6-foot-8, 337-pound frame could suit the Steelers’ power-running style of play well.

Ex-OU wide receiver Juaquin Iglesias, meanwhile, told Sirius NFL Radio that he will be visiting Minnesota next Wednesday.

Last month, Vikings head coach Brad Childress attended OU’s pro day and watched Iglesias work out.

There are a lot of teams that could use good O-line guys like Loadholt and Duke. I hope teams take them early. I've missed not having a first rounder to brag about :(

I like this site, they seem to do alot of research and they do a full 7 rd mock. If nothing else its a cool site cus they have tons of info and they have a full mock draft database

http://walterfootball.com/draft2009.php

For what its worth they have the OU guys going in the following slots...

Iggy #49 to Chicago 2nd rd
Phil #54 to the Vikes 2nd rd
Duke #64 to Pitt 2nd rd
Nic Harris #97 to New England 3rd rd

Ah yes, their cover story for their weekly "Sports Monday" insert. I saw the cover and I was amazed at how Phil could be considered a first-rounder after initial scouting reports.

I don't believe quite yet that Loadholt is a first rounder, but then again, I believe that this draft is very much up in the air, in that there isn't a sure-fire first overall choice and that even those that can potentially be taken in the top 5, top, 10, top 15 can also fall to the bottom of the first or early part of the second round.

So anyway, schedule the watch party and buy a bunch of beer now for what should be an interesting draft day. If Phil makes it into the first round I'll do a little dance :)

... but like I said, with the draft this year, he could also fall to day two :(

One of my favorites too. One observation on his current mock:

1st round players from UConn: 3
1st round players from OU : 0

News on the Apocalypse at 6.......

:les: I need more NFL Draft talk! [hairGel]

I really, really hope the Baylor OT goes to Detroit and the Lions can't negotiate a deal with Stafford. Getting a solid line guy would be good for a struggling franchise in need of more role players and not more college-stars-that-aren't-used-to-losing.

Plus... it's Baylor! :D Having the No. 1 overall draft pick would be awesome for them and it's time they give the sixth spot in the Big 12 south to someone more deserving... like OSU or Texas A&M.

the world did a story on the 2010 draft outlook (http://www.tulsaworld.com/sports/article.aspx?subjectid=92&articleid=20090422_202_B1_Former537957) and this pic made me smile:

As much as I love my current avvie, I think I gotta go with Trent Williams now. Dude is a beast and will make opponent pancakes all season long... the perfect breakfast meal should we have more 11 a.m. games than necessary :D
