Holy cow, I have no idea which ones to buy? Whats the difference between all of these?
Right now the Onkyo is next to the xbox360, cable box, and soon to be blue ray player so I don't need much length there I suppose. I already have a longer hdmi to run from the reciever to the tv so unless there is a difference in quality of the various cables I guess I don't need a new one for that?

I've been told there is virtually no difference, and that the Monster Brand are severely overpriced.

Unless you can find cheaper. It's passing a digital signal. If the signal gets through, win. If not, not win. More expensive cable isn't going to improve your picture or sound quality.

I'm pretty sure it's a digital signal, so just get the cheapest ones.

I'm using a cable I got from work, it produces the quality I want without the price I don't want.
It's only used for the PS3, the DVR gets component cables.

I bought 4 of these from them.
I like the color blue (it claims that they are purple, I see blue).
They work fine.

I was told to make sure the cables are 1.3a compatible. Didn't make sense to me as I would think that would only apply to the unit sending the signal and the unit receiving the signal. I just bought the cheapest ones I could find and everything worked fine.

Glad to see so many pay so close attention to my posts.:( :D

Let me clarify. Some of those say, "for in wall instillation" will they work? Whats the benefit of the flat cable? What's the difference between the 22, 24, and 28 AWG? Whats AWG?
Doc, I'm not surprised so much that you like purple, just more surprised you didn't get pink...or orange!:D

American Wire Gauge

bigger number is thinner, like shotguns :D

smaller numbers should carry better signal

It's marketing dreck. You are correct.

In-wall simply means that they meet fire code. You can use them outside walls.
