1) Texas > Kansas.

2) Those byes sure are helping. Higher seeds are 0-2 so far. Hopefully that 6:00 game reverses the trend, although it really wouldn't hurt my feelings at all to see it continue in the nightcap. F*ck Mizzou.

3) I still hate Dexter Pittman with the fire of a million suns.

Pittman is kind of like Sasha Kaun, mauls people and never gets called.

Well, Texas shouldn't rely on it too much, because they won't get the benefit of Big 12 officiating in the tourney.

All I've learned from the early session today, I've already learned from Blake Griffin.

(1) NO east buckets for opponents allowed:

(2) Two points is two points... the easier they come, the better:

(3) Teamwork leads to victory... but having an individual star having an awesome game is mandatory, too.

(4) Don't rely on the refs for calls that are just going to go against you anyway.

I look forward to the game tonight. I hope those of you that can attend have fun and cheer loud! Get ready to hear nothing but the "Hey song!"

You know, I was just thinking this thread needed more pictures. Super.

I'm sorry, I just love Blake Griffin highlights. I promise I'll minimize the pics come NCAA tourney time so that it doesn't slow down the board too much.

Here, have some foreshadow for later this week on how TU will beat Memphis:

Perhaps my Tulsa residency bias is coming out, but they did come within a basket of beating the Tigers back in January (55-54 (http://www.tulsaworld.com/sports/article.aspx?subjectid=94&articleid=20090113_94_0_AtnoAd906495&archive=yes)). Granted, that was at Tulsa and this game will be at Memphis, but I think they have a chance. Hasn't everyone on here done nothing but dog Memphis for being overrated and undeserving of a one-seed? Well, what better way for them to get exposed than in their own conference tourney at home?

Oh, and to tie it to this thread somehow, I will say that what we've learned in the early session is that ANYthing can happen in conference tournies, including conference champions going down.

That would be huge, and Tulsa was robbed in that game.

He'll start getting called once somebody steps up and cold cocks him.

Another thing we've learned from the tourney so far:

Big 12 South > Big 12 North

KU was projected as a #3 seed in the big tourney. Does an early loss today put that in jeopardy?

Six games have been played so far, five of which have been direct competition between the North and the South. The South has won all five of them, and Missouri is the only North team left.

Domination.
