If you have outstanding medical bills for Norman Regional Hospital or have been paying on them monthly, pay them NOW!!!

They're running some sort of special right now where if you pay 100% of your bill now, you get 30% off. I don't know if it's just today or this week or what.

Every month, I had been paying off a couple bills $100 at a time because - if they don't charge interest, who cares? Instead, I paid off $530 worth of medical bills today for $371. I saved $159! Sweet.

It's funny. I almost posted a new thread yesterday to complain about NRH's archaic billing system, their lack of returned phone calls and their phone system in general. Now, I love them.

If you open an account and pre-pay, will you get 30% off of treatment for your first mishap?

That's funny. I only say that because most doctors will give you that option. Heck, I have one client that if you just call and say you're sending in a payment, she will give you 50% off to pay it in full. This is just so she can have less outstanding on her books.

Norman Regional wanted to take out my appendix. but, the real thing was i ate like 6 chili dogs "babysitting" myself...and had a lot of stomach pain. i puked all over the floor of NRH about 4 hours before they wanted to cut me.

no more pain. they still expected my folks to put me in surgery.

That's actually pretty standard in the health care industry. Glad to hear Norman Regional has caught up with the big boys in OKC and Tulsa.

I'm saying with out some kinda insurance. A short hospital stay will break you and a long illness will bankrupt you without some kinda coverage.

That's odd. Old med bills show up on lots of credit reports I've pulled for client financing. I think there are credit managers that give people a pass on them if everything else is being paid in a timely fashion.

That's what I really meant and I was mainly being flippant anyway.
