Back when I played HS ball (98-02) our school was so poor, we could not afford one of those special shoe wiping mats before we stepped onto the court. We always wiped the slipperyness with our hands and lick our fingers to grip the ball..... bad taste but winning sure was delicious. Now my alma mater has some money, 3 wins from a second state title and they have not one but TWO slipnots and it sure is much better than using your hands.
