I thought Mitch Richmond was the all-time Big 8 leading scorer (only because Wilt played in the Big 7)

Grayer avg'd about 25 a game. Richmond was a helluva player and in all the "Danny and the Miracles" (spit) nonsense, people forget KSU was in the Elite Eight (TM), as we have been taught to say.

still a fan of the two toned purple unis.

I think Grayer has the best ppg avg in the Big 8. 25 is a lot. for every game he's got 15, there's one that's 35.

Grayer was a stud. Did a little research and found out he averaged 25.3 points a game for the Cyclones in '88. That's pretty stout. I think Stacey averaged 26 a year later.

Iowa State has always been able to attract stud players, they just never have too many of them. Seem to always be spread out.

Richmond was a JUCO. He played at Moberly (MO) his first 2 years where he happened to make it up here for the tourney his soph. year, so I got a sneak preview of his game. Oh, & FWIW, both he & Tyrone Jones made the all-tourney team that year.

You thinking of Marcus Fizer? Great dominant college player but never dialed it up in the pros they way many experts thought he would...
