So in Mid-April, Pepsi is rolling out Pepsi and Mountain Dew Throwback with cane sugar instead of HFCS. I'm pretty excited about this.

Has anyone seen the new "mtn dew" label design? They really bug the crap out of me. The whole text message, cut corners, bastardization of the English language angle just gets under my skin.

When those came out, I collected all of them and thought it was the coolest thing ever! I LOVED the black one. Of course I was about 11 or 12 at the time, but I had them for ages. Hell, probably still do. Anyways, randomness over.

this sounds like a great idea. i wonder how much more it will be

i think the only Crystal Pepsi i had was the free 12 pack i got from some radio promotion in Tulsa. it wasn't awful, but i never bought any after it was gone

Crystal Gravy on the other hand...

Have you ever replaced Coke or Pepsi (whatever you drink) with a bargain brand "Cola"....pisswater.

HFCS should be outlawed. The stuff is nasty.

I just read that Coke has been doing this for a long time. Each year they release a Kosher version made with cane sugar and no HFCS, since observant jews cannot have corn products during passover.

Man, I learnded a lot on the innerwebs today!

Google "Dublin Dr Pepper"

looks like "Pops 66" in Arcadia carries Dublin Dr Peppers, as well as Dr. Peppers (not sure what that is all about)

Hell, yeah! I live in Houston and I am always buying the Mexican Coke. There's a convenience store around the block from me that sells it. It's a little more expensive than American Coke, but it is more than worth it!

I really notice the difference. Sugar Coke has no nasty aftertaste. When I drink the HFCS Coke, I always feel some sort of "film" left on my tongue.

I had my wife pick up a 12 pack of the mountain dew and the pepsi. The mountain dew is freaking fantastic. The pepsi is good, but it almost tastes nothing like pepsi. And your teeth get kind of gritty feeling. They are both much better than Dublin DP, IMO.

To be fair, isn't PFLAG a NON-gay organization, in that it is just parents and friends of people who are gay, but not gay people themselves?

Therefore, couldn't the argument be made that Pepsi is supporting NON-gay people as opposed to gay people?

They make the syrup for Kosher Coke at the Atlanta Syrup Branch, they have a bulk sugar conveyor under the railroad tracks. They are also one of the few branches that mixes their own concentrate. The fresh sugar Coke there is great.
