I've read something that does indeed sound very serious. It's an unconfirmed rumor so I'll just keep it at that.

From what I hear, he's expected to live. Other than that, not hearing good things. Wear your seatbelts, folks.

Good thoughts and prayers for Corey and his family.

Read about this on CBS sports. Sad to hear and wish him and his family the best in such a trying time. Lot of gators on our boards have expressed the same sentiment there.

Remember, please wear your seat belt, they really do save lives. If you have a family, you owe it to them.

I just found out from a guy who went to high school with corey that they're saying he is permanetly paralyzed from the waist down. I'm hoping/praying thats not true. Sounds like he's lucky to be alive, but will live.

Seeing reports that it's a spinal injury and is career ending. Don't know anything about paralyzed, but that's what I'm seeing.

Here's hopin he is able to pull through the rough stages of recovery.

This is so sad and prayers to Corey and his family.

Like others on this thread, it is so important to wear seatbelts at all times when driving and make your passenger buckle up no matter how much flack they give you. You don't drive without seat belts fastened -- simple and to the point.

It would be great if a group of OU fans could visit him with their OU gear on.

I guess it is too early for that, as he is probably still in IC.

Don't care if he plays again, just care the kid pulls through.

So frustrating to me that here we are in 2009, and we still can't get folks to wear their danged seat belts. Guy like that with so much life ahead of him, and nothing any of us can do to get it back for him :(

OUDaily.com (http://oudaily.com/news/2009/mar/01/receiver-corey-wilson-hospitalized-serious-conditi/) reporting that he is paralyzed from the waist down. So, so very sad.

Football players received an e-mail this weekend saying that Wilson is paralyzed from the waist down, according to a player who asked to remain anonymous because players aren’t allowed to speak with the media.

Jame Hale said earlier today on the Animal that he was paralyzed from waist down but he would survive. He also said that the family didn't want anymore info released other then that. Regardless, it's a sad day in Sooner nation.

very sad news. hope everything gets better for him and his family. shows how very very important seat belts are. for all those who have reasons/excuses for not wearing them, this should convience you otherwise.

I also heard the movement in his toes rumor. This quickly to see results like that when you're faced with paralysis is great news if true.

Jame Hale said earlier today on the Animal that he was paralyzed from waist down but he would survive. He also said that the family didn't want anymore info released other then that. Regardless, it's a sad day in Sooner nation.

James Hale needs to learn to shut his mouth and stop trying to be the first to report something. Obviously the main media outlets aren't running with this yet and for good reason. In cases like this, things can change very quickly.

Guys like James Hale and Robert Allen just make me laugh.

Just wanted to know if there was an upadate on Wilson. Also, I just wanted to be clear that I wasn't taking James Hale's word as the spoken gospel. I was just saying what was being put out by the media.
