They've got some talent, but the line just never opened big enough holes for the backs. Not sure what to do about that other than to say "block better, you tubs of lard".

I'll believe it when I see it.

One play does not a feature back make.

who ever rushes for the most yards in the RRR wins every year. We need to shut those ****s down this year

They are moving Jackie Chiles to receiver, maybe they should use him as the "Wildcat" back.

Oogie's gone? I guess Fozzie's their guy now. He bruises like a grape though.

Their qb had the most rushing yards and not that many (600?). They tried a couple of guys, Fozzie and McGee but didn't find what they were looking for as far as a go-to guy to hand the ball off. The offense was Pony Boy and while they called qb draw plays, he made a lot of yardage after seeing his receivers covered. They did not rely on the ground game, which makes you wonder how the hell they only lost once.

Our running game was very inconsistent, but it's not like we were consistently bad. We rotated FOUR running backs because nobody stood out and also called 3 or 4 run plays a game for our quarterback, so of course nobody was going to get a high yardage total. If we had just benched McGee and Cody and just rotated Fozzy and Ogbonnaya, plus limited Colt to being a pure pro-style dropback passer only, we'd have had both guys gain more impressive individual yardage totals, but it wouldn't have helped us as a team.

That's why I'm not sure "focusing on the run game" is a great idea. I'd worry more about the DLine and a replacement for Cosby.

Or run for more yards than they do. Either will work.

an effective run game might be the single most important thing a football team can do. receivers like cosby are a dime a dozen
