Just reported at the halftime show of the West Virginia Cinnci game that Juan Pattillo is suspended Saturday vs Tech for violation of team rules. Couldn't find a link yet, but this will obviously leave us very thin up front.

Edit: Found link (http://newsok.com/ous-juan-pattillo-suspended/article/3348893?custom_click=lead_story_title)

My dreams of Detriot have taken some hits over the past week. Is it possible to get out of capels dog house? I don't remember many players emerging from it.....

He apparently went vampyrric on a goat....and was caught by a Texas farmer.;)

Well apparently we could use Blake back NOW.

Man, as good as he was a month ago, he's that bad now. He looked awful at times vs. KU and now this.

Didn't we win like 17 games without Patillo?

Dear Juan,

We all felt tempted to skip class at some point and most of us have skipped at least one. The difference is that you have class checkers that make sure you are in class each and every day. Thus, if you are going to skip class, please make sure that either (a) the class checker is out sick, or (b) the class checker has already left and reported you as "present."

I'm not angry at you, because like I said, we've all skipped class at least once when we were in college. Next time you're tempted, please use the above guidelines.

Or, you could just attend and sleep. Get a back-of-the-room seat for that, heh.

I wish you a speedy return to the lineup!

Was anyone listening to the Animal this morning and heard Murdoch talking about discension among the team? It sounded like the team was falling apart without Blake and they were playing the blame game. I hope it's not as bad as he made it sound. They better pull it together and not let the wheels fall off when they face a little adversity!

playing the blame game.

Nobody likes to lose, especially when the games are that close. I think it's easier to point fingers when you're a few minutes away from victory (and blow double-digit leads!) than win you're winning against everybody... except... ARKANSAS?!

I still can't believe we lost that one

When I thought Capel is the biggest hard-a$$ as a disciplinarian that we have EVER had at OU,in ANY sport.Has any other coach even been close?

BTW I am not meaning to be critical of Capel,I do appreciate that he runs a tight ship.Still Maze,Early,Cannnon all booted and Willis,Patillo suspended,in just THREE years.I also have the feeling that I am forgetting other players who have been dismissed or suspended.OUr players must learn Capel is one SERIOUS dude.

Capel is the biggest hard-a$$ as a disciplinarian that we have EVER had at OU,in ANY sport.

We're on the verge of Big 12 regular season and tourney championships, a one-seed, a Nat'l PoY and a national championship... and he's on the verge of Coach of the Year.

As I've illustrated above, I think skipping class is a relatively small crime, but I cannot argue with the results in front of us now... unless there's an epic meltdown next month.

We might be in real trouble!

We might be without WW and possibly AJ (back) also on Saturday. If this is true, we are in some serious trouble.

Word on the street from some pretty credible sources is that Caple's coming out later saying Willie is suspended for Saturday as well.

Perhaps we should re-title this thread to include all players out this Saturday.

Or, if this trend continues, we could just save time and say which ones ARE playing.

Here's the WILL play list right now, please correct if I'm wrong:

Ryan Wright - F, Jr
T.J. Franklin, G, Fr
Tony Crocker, G, Jr
Omar Leary, G, Jr
Orlando Allen, C, So
Taylor Griffin, F, Sr
Cade Davis, G, So
Ray Willis, G, Fr
Beau Gerber, F, Jr

Please correct this list if necessary (injuries? redshirts?) and designate projected starters for Saturday.

I think Ray Willis is suspended still.

I will not be playing. I was suspended for trying to pass myself off as Juan Patillo attending class. It really was a stupid plan given that white and sorta chubby.

Guys we're going to be fine. This is from soonersports.com previewing the Tech game:
Pos. No. Name Ht. Wt. Year 2008-09 Stats
F 1 Ryan Wright 6-10 251 So. 22.0 ppg, 13.8 rpg, 63.2 FG%
F 32 Taylor Griffin 6-7 238 Sr. 8.9 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 51.5 FG%
G 5 Tony Crocker 6-6 206 Jr. 10.2 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 37.9 3FG%
G 13 Willie Warren 6-4 207 Fr. 15.4 ppg, 3.0 apg, 38.2 3FG%
G 20 Austin Johnson 6-3 176 Sr. 8.7 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 4.4 apg

Ryan Wright is averaging exactly what Blake is. It's nice when you can put in your backup and there is no drop off :)
