Giveaways shall abound. Which is why I'm so very upset about having a cold and being unable to attend. I always get the sweet giveaway swag slid over to me. ;)

One of our mailroom chickies does roller derby here in T-town. Or did until about two weeks ago. I asked her today why she quit. She said, "because all those girls are lesbians."

I laughed.

That is all.

Wow, I wouldn't really peg a roller derby chick as a homophobe. ;)

Sorry, McNellies is the only real bar in Tulsa worth getting drunk at.

Well, you're certainly entitled to your opinion, especially when it frees up some space at Empire. :D

Why, because it's got a 1,500 beer list?

Hey I'm not the one with an "MR-2 Parking Only" sign in front of Renegades.

Wow, I gotta commend you guys on your encyclopedic knowledge of Tulsa's gay bars. I mean, I just go to the lesbian pub, but you guys are full-on bear hunting. ;)

I stick to either McNellie's or the White Lion. McNellie's is a block from where I park downtown, so it's hard to beat. And I's askeert of the other bars down there. :P

I go for the beer selections, mostly, and sometimes the food. If you beer selection is better than McNellie's or your food better than the White Lion, then I will investigate.

And no, a "kickin' plate of fried mushrooms" does not count as haute cuisine.

Hey the liquor store at like 16th and Yale in the Target parking lot across from the soon to be former Drillers stadium has really improved their selection of late. Worth a visit.

I second the White Lion nomination. Speaking as a person who has frequented British public houses, The White Lion is the one of the closest facsimiles of same I have encountered west of the the Appalachians. Also in the running for said honor is O'Malley's in Weston, Mo.

The White Lion's problem is it's south of 41st, so Tulsa elites poo-poo it.
