View Full Version : I have an inside joke that I would like to share (relates to The Bachelor)

During the apex of my swinging singles days (circa '99). I hungout with an old college chum in Tulsa who was employed with Anheiser Busch. He basically worked promotions in bars and although I highly disliked Bud, I gots free beers.
I happened to meet two girls at an art exhibit this one particular time and as the night went on they ended up with me and said friend at his apartment type place. It was late, one chick was smokin hot and the other was not so much.
We're sitting on the couch talking when my Bud friend pops out of his room in his swim trunks, carrying a 12 pack and says : "I'm going out to the hot tub if anyone wants to join me." After awkward silence he leans back in the door as he exits: "I'll be out here if anyone wants to join me."

Well, fast forward to the current Bachelor show (that I have to watch for the benefit of my wife). Every time there's a rose ceremony and host Chris Richardson tells the chicks that there's one more rose left I have to pipe in: "And I'll be out back in the hot tub if anyone wants to join me."
"Anyone wants to talk or you know, just hang, I'll be out back."

I still laugh but Camden thinks it's played.

Ya I know, I just wanted him to know it's because he watches that, not that his inside joke is gay. Which it is. ;)

nothing wrong with living vicariously through a dude on TV that has all of these chicks fighting over him for no real particular reason.

if anyone wants to talk, or you know, make out, I'll be out back.
