Questions about going on welfare

1) I don't know much about the Porkulus Law, but I heard that monies doled out to states are based on welfare and unemployment rolls. Is that true?

2) If I were to go on welfare, would it affect my credit?

2) Per the ECOA, no part of a credit decision may be based on whether the applicant receives public assistance.

However, I sincerely doubt you qualify.
