Saturday was my first home game this year. I loved the pregame video and must admit I liked the horsepigs more after their show with the Pom Squad than I ever did at football games.

If they ever brought TopDawg out during that the roof might just get blown off the place.

I'd love to see that. Or in the alternative hear about it since I only manage to make two or three basketball games a year.

I agree with you. I want to see him back for good, but at the very least, I would like to see them have him on the shelf and ready for really big games.

I want to see him pop up like a random character in a Benny Hill sketch, there is a lot of dramedy that can be pulled out of this.

My wife loves watching them also. She just sits there laughing at what they are doing and I have to remind them that the game is on. They are making them much better but it would be fun to see Top Daug back.

I'm a big fan of bringing back Top Daug. I unfortunately don't think it will happen now that the Horse Pigs are firmly entrenched at OU. It sucks b/c Top Daug is what helped make OU basketball unique from OU football. I was sad to see him retired.

Some one should make their own replica costume and wear it to the game.

The first season Top Dawg/Daug was out I had some generic sign that either said "BOOMER SOONER" or the number "3" on one side... I would hold up the generic side like a good girl, but then for a second or two, I would flip the sign to revel a sad dog face, a paw print and big letters:

SAVE TOP DAWG!

The people behind me, of course, could see the reverse side a lot. Of course, I had heard the rumors of any reference to the former mascot being removed from LNC, so I had to get creative. I've had many signs take away or forceably removed in the past... ah, memories...

1- SUK-O-METER that actually had a sliding green/gold marker on it to show level of suckiness (sukiness?) of Baylor.
2- K-S-WHO? GO OU (back when KSU was good in women's basketball)

I had done something similar a few years ago when the Big 12 somehow got this really nasty chick ref that was awful. Someone said she got fired by the NBA (then WHY did the Big 12 hire her?!). I dunno, it inspired a good girl side reading "We love you Coach Coale!" with a happy smiley face and all, because usually coach would be assessed a T or be arguing up a storm with said-b!tch ref by then. Then, for a few seconds, the side with the angry face and evil handwritting revealed:

We do NOT like the refs!

That worked for the first two Big 12 games that year... but an attendant came up to me and said "Do not hold up the other side of the 'We love you Coach Coale' sign anymore" by game three.

So anyways, I promise all the ranting has a point, and it's this: The athletic department and Big 12 in general have a rule about signs, and that's if they kind of don't like it, the signs are gone. Thus, the AD might actually like the signs and a Top Daug return is in the works.

We can hold out hope! The signs have lasted a few days now, right?
