very sad, indeed. especially after a "sucessful crash" just a few weeks ago.

on a sad note, i'm down in philly this weekend. picked up the paper this morning and saw a small picture on the front page of one of the victims. said to my wife, "that girl looks very familiar." unfortunately, turns out it was who i thought it was. Lorin Maurer. i went to grad school with her at U. of Florida and shared a house with her and 2 other girls for a couple months while i finished school. i was closer to the other 2, and hadn't spoken to lorin since i left florida. she was a wonderful girl and will be missed.

she was working in the athletic depatment at princeton, and apparently had made quite an impact.

thoughts are definitely with her family and all the others that we lost.
