Any info Rhino? I don't know what I'm supposed to say. He's been expected to switch for at least a month - the question was which school would take him.

Okay. I guess we could have expected this. If he is scared of competition then OU is not the place for him. If you play ball at Oklahoma you have to live to compete

This.

Mahoney seemed for eight months set to sign with OU, but questions about his ability to meet freshman eligibility requirements led to Mahoney and Sooners coaches parting ways. (http://www.redraiders.com/2009/02/01/former-ou-pledge-two-others-choose-tech/)
“They said that the scholarship committee was unsure if I was going to qualify,’’ Mahoney said, “But by the same token, y’all are quitting the race before it’s even finished. That pretty much tells me that they don’t want me. I took that as I don’t want to do it anymore. Half the time communication was bad between us anyway, and things were not as good as I wanted them to be. I’m not blaming them. Half of this is my fault as well.’’ (http://www.redraiders.com/2009/02/01/former-ou-pledge-two-others-choose-tech/)

Mahoney said it’s his understanding that he will qualify if he finishes high school with a 2.6 grade-point average. He said he has a 2.48 GPA now. (http://www.redraiders.com/2009/02/01/former-ou-pledge-two-others-choose-tech/)

No, Brandon. If you have a 2.48 GPA as a senior then 100% of this is your fault.

:P you mean three-way-tie-for-first results in some team actually ranking third?

If so, why can't it be Texas? :P

Texas: THIRD PLACE!

Wow. 2.4? I have a 4 point and don't have to work that hard.

I don't think it is right to have to carry almost a B average to qualify for college. It should be based on your SAT or ACT score more than anything.

Someone needs to let Mahoney know it aint personal but what has been our luck over the last 5 years with Partial qualifers? TERRIBLE

Williams CB

There are a couple of 4 & 5 star guys- that we gambled on and got screwed up in the end.
