about putting in their garden. I know Ice storm tomorrow, but I am getting ready to order some seeds. I think I may go big time this year and put in a large garden. Maybe a couple of acres...

Corn
many kinds of tomatoes ( had over 20 plants last year)
many kinds of peppers ( 20 plus)
cucumbers
squash
watermelons
cantaloupe

What else?

Do they start of green than turn red, tough little buggers to pick?
I got some, my wife make hot sauce all the time, she will put 2 jalapenos and 2 of those. **** is too hot.... I love it.. I pull them while they are still green and eat them with a sandwich before they get to hot. :D

I think we planted 5 different types of pepper last year.

If you're going to plant watermelon, you better know a bunch of people that like watermelon.

Well, I may scale it back once I start working it. I am also thinking about setting up a self serve little hut with an honor box. Sell some of it

You've made me homesick and I've got another five months to go until my next trip. I normally try to time it so that the black-eyed peas are still producing and the okra is just beginning to produce.

IT'S TOO EARLY TO BE THINKING ABOUT THAT!!!

I am a bit early, I wont even start working the ground for another 3 weeks. But with the warns snaps we keep having, it just gets me to thinking about the garden.

Ice storm tomorrow will bring me back to earth.

1st time I planted okra story... I kept the damn things on the plant too long, I thought wow, these will be the biggest okra ever seen. Yeah, they turned hard as wood.
