Just heard My 13 year old Grandson , may have broken his Tail Bone at football Practice :mad:
No word Or confirmation yet .

That sucks, will keep him in my prayers. That always double sucks because not only are you hurting...you can't play football either :(

no doubt about that. one of my best buddy's is a quadriplegic from a car accident. he's a trooper (and a royal pain in the azz), but you can't have that kind of thing happen to a kid.

Vet, I understand your concern but you need to understand, a very high percentage of adults have a broken tail bone that was allowed to heal. It is not a debilitating injury, just sore as hell to sit on for quite a while and aggravating pain in the butt for a few years.

Actually that tailbone is a fusion of a few bones at the tip of the spine. The correct name is the "coccyx". Sounds a lot less painful to say you have a broken tailbone that a broken coccyx.:eek:

His coccyx? I dunno why we even have that. Must be some kind of divine joke to remind us we're not too far removed from tail waggers.;)

Anyhoo, he's a kid. That sucka will heal fast. You put two broken bone ends of a kid in the same room at 9am, and they'll heal by lunchtime.
