With SB and Gresh apparently coming back for their jr and sr years respectively and based off of what theyve done so far, will they go down as the best QB and TE in OU history if they have comparable yrs next yr?

Statwise it is an easy yes but what about as a whole?

SB-I say if we win another Big 12 title and he plays well all yr, or obviously if we win the natl title then easily yes. If we dont do either then he is top 3 all time but it is debatable who is #1

He is currently 23-5 as a starter with 2 conf titles and a natl title app and holds pretty much all qb records at OU and some natl records

Gresham-I know there are a lot of KJ fans around here and rightly so, but this guy is just unreal how good he is and he can still get alot better. I would have to say yes

they have to win a bcs or ncg game, before being considered best ever imo.

Agreed. This is Oklahoma. Stats don't make history. Titles do.

Sam needs a dramatic win. All his wins are typically crushing opponents. It seems the last dramatic win of significance was our win at Texas A&M in 2000.

I don't base that opinion just on wins because it is so dependent on the team around the players. With Gresham, you can see the match-up nightmare he causes the opposing D - he has got to be right up there with the best at TE. We will find out very quickly how much of Sam's stats are due to having an experienced O-line. Certainly when he has time, I have never seen a more accurate QB on any college team, not just OU.

It is going to be hard to supplant Keith Jackson as the best TE.

Seems like next years fate rests on the O-Line... Everything else seems to be defined and in place

Sam is already the best QB in OU history. Yea, you can tell me about Jack Mildren and his wins, but those won't cut it for me. Sam's numbers are other-worldly. Mildren didn't have those.

Renaldo Works and Curtis Lofton would both like to have a word with you.

I thought our 28-21 win over the horns last year had some drama and Sam was at the helm. OSU this year wasn't bad.

Is there any TE/QB combo that has the stats of Gresham/Bradford?
