I'll say it again... OU cannot have the ball twice within the FL 10 yardline and not get any points out of it. UF is too good of a team to not take advantage of all chances that you are given. Same goes for the 0 points off turnovers. OU had it's chance to jump out into the lead in the 2nd quarter, and we/they failed to do so.

The clock is quickly becoming an issue too, especially if UF scores a TD this drive.

Man, how disappointing for the Big XII. Tech lost, OkSU was handled, Missouri barely beat Northwestern, Texas barely beat Ohio State, and now OU loses to Florida by at least 10 points. I hate to say it, but there's no way the Big XII was the best, and maybe not even the 2nd best, conference in college football this year. Just my honest opinion.

OU had a good year, but Texas was a mentally tougher team. Wish we could have played Florida. OU played a tough game, but the offense looked timid. The defense was really good, though. The beauty of sports--there is always next year.

I put this loss at the feet of the offense. They had TWO chances in the 2nd quarter within the UF 10 yardline and didn't get any points out of them. UF is much too good of a team to go empty-handed inside their 10 yardline. The D held UF pretty good for the first 3 quarters; the offense has been quite disappointing. Gresham not getting out of bounds near the end of the 2nd Q was a very poor decision. The receivers have had problems holding onto the ball too.

I hate to say it, but there's no way the Big XII was the best, and maybe not even the 2nd best, conference in college football this year. Just my honest opinion.

On the other hand, is Tebow the most amazing human being ever to walk on this earth? I only wonder because that's the impression I'm getting from the announcers. I typically don't pay attn much since the announcers almost always throw praise on whichever team is winning the game at the time. However, this is a bit ridiculous. Anybody would be a better person for being in Tim's presence for even a minute? Yes, they actually said that earlier this game. I'm sure Tim is a very good human being, but you'd think that he's being Sainted...

At least this game was moderately competitive, at least in the 1st half. Being an OU fan, this feeling of disappointment in a BCS game is quite familiar to me. We can do the regular season, but winning a BCS game seems like an impossibility. Yes, I should be grateful that we can actually GET to a BCS game year after year, but losing year in and year out probably sucks worse than winning of lower-grade, non-BCS bowl. Why do even watch OU bowl games? *shrug*

If we had played in the 2nd half as well as we did in the 1st half, and we still lost, then I would think it was a good attempt. However, there was very little good that came out of the 2nd half. The offense didn't do much, and the defense couldn't contain Tebow.

For the same reason many Red Sox fans like myself kept watching after 1986. ;)

I can't guarantee that Bob will ever win another title. But no team in the last decade has played for more Waterford Crystal Footballs than the Sooners. Obviously, he knows how to coach and his coaching staff knows how to coach.

You just need the right combination of execution, correct play calling, and luck to win one.

And tonight was a perfect example of that.

Florida made the plays when it counted and Oklahoma did not.
