When the dust settles I sincerely hope to be seeing the 8th National Championship during my lifetime and the 7th during my cognitive years in the ownership of the Sooners!

Speaking for myself, my anticipation for this game is more than any of the past BCS games, even more so than the 2000 game.
Florida's a great team, and maybe they are better in several categories than my Sooners, but I sincerely believe that in spite of it all by 11:00PM tonight we will be celebrating national title number 8.

I'm gonna keep trying to get on the board today, but I'll just keep Gator Country open so I can bask in the confidence of the Florida fans. It's sad that their board doesn't bog down over there. I can read a couple of threads there before SF opens. Too bad the content is so Gator-y.

Maybe I'll see if I can get banned before the end of the day. :D

Here's my hope: that my dad and father-in-law, both in their 70s with heart problems...Get to witness one more National Championship

At 45, I'm assuming I'll have a few more in my lifetime... :)

woo! This is it!! Really confident about our boys chance of winning in this one. Of course there is always the usual nerves that will creep up. It's gonna be hell leading up to the whistle, I don't know how I'm gonna do anything else.

Hopefully I can witness my first Oklahoma championship as a true fan. :cool: If not, I'm sure I'll have plenty more chances.

After the GOWWDNS - I have tempered my enthusiasm. I hope for a good game, but am not buying or reading all the hype...I hope we show up, play well as we have proven OU can and see what happens.
