I like this. I like this A LOT!

We have all seen the video of when Switzer won his third title at OU it gave him the same identical record at OU as Bud Wilkinson had and winning the title gave them three titles at the same point with the same record.

Well, fast forward to 2009. Bob Stoops record at OU stands at 109-23...one national title.

Well, way back in 1985 during the regular season Barry Switzer had a record at OU that included four ties (can't get those these days), but he was 110-23...and two national titles.

Tomorrow night, Bob can tie Barry...who at one point, tied Bud.

PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN!!!!

AND.....

Bob Stoops went 82-18 in his first 100 games, including 1 national title.
Urban Meyer is currently 82-17, with tomorrow being his 100th game as head coach. Hopefully he'll match Bob, and come out of his first 100 games with an 82-18 record and ONE national title.

Yeah, but can Bob keep up with Barry? He's gotta go 6 for 6 in conference titles the next 6 years to keep up with Barry's 12 conference titles in 16 years.

This is an interesting study in Jinx v. Destiny.

Calling it out like this beforehand is dangerously jinxy. But it also appears to be our destiny.

Personally, I would've erred on the side of caution and waited until after it happened to mention it, but the cat's out of the bag. We'll have to hope destiny can overcome.

I see your point, but I got this from Bob Stoops quotes from his press conference today, so he already knows about it. I, for some reason, find that more important that us discussing it! :D

It's time make it happen, but what ever you do, do not look directly at Bob Stoops!
