Dude, you just set it so it doesn't display anyone's avatars on YOUR screen. To everyone else, you still have an avatar. ;)

If you have double-secret Mod skillz and can give me that avi, then go for it. There's a galdanged MNC on the line and we need all the karma we can get! For the record, I'm already using it as an avi on another "non-sports" board I frequent. So there.
