Neutral Field

You know, there has been a lot of talk about neutral field this year and maybe I m wrong..

All fields are neutral in football..Unlike baseball, they all have the same length and width...They are all measured the same..Home teams don't get to play 12 men on defense..away teams don't have to field 10 guys on offense...there is no extra obstacles added for the away team to go through to score..no oil spills, or traps, or anything like that...

Even though the stands are not neutral, the field is..

It's psychological. It's a different environment and you're outside of your comfort zone. Familiarity breeds success. That's why OU was so much better on the road this year. They been there done that.
