My cousin blew out his knee during the Orange Bowl halftime show at the 1981 OU-Florida State game. He was part of the Opryland show there and stepped between two stages and his knee blew. The OU team doctors took care of him and did the surgery, which he appreciated as a 1976 OU grad. He refers to it as his "Orange Bowl Injury".

You take comfort in that? When we won the 2000 Orange Bowl, we nearly lost to a 3-8 oklahoma state team. when usc beat us, they nearly lost to a bad ucla team. Ark beat LSu last and got smoked by mizzou in cotton bowl. we'll show up next week, and ill watch win or lose.

difficult choice between this game and the USC-Illini game. Both horrible. But, the Texas and Ohio State game could be just as bad given that we all know how THE OSU does in bowl games.
