big12 fans just don't understand great defensive play. This was the same crushing beaver defense that game up 65 to Oregon in their last game, so they only average giving up 32.5 in the last month. Awesome!

Not surprised the Wanstache got shut out. If it were up to that guy he'd do away with offenses and just play defense the whole game.

State put up a crooked number in the bottom of the 2nd and then brought the closer in to nail down the 8th and 9th for his first save of the season. The Pitt bats just couldn't get anything going. The State pitcher kept mixing up his curveball and fastball. The only real contraversy came in the 3rd inning when Pitt accused the Beaver pitcher of getting the ball wet. But after both benches cleared it was deemed that the beaver had faked the whole thing.

I'll take a 3-0 win over a 43-42 loss anyday or a 49-28 loss now that I think about it.
