This is usually an off-season topic and it comes up every year on every board. The results always favor the home crowd, of course.

There was recently an internet best-helmet, head-to-head contest, a single-elimination tourney with fans voting their favorites on a site called Prepticket. Oklahoma got knocked out in the second or third round. The finals came down to Arkansas-West Virginia. Kinda telling for the site whose fans click on it the most.

I like FSU's helmet. And Bama's is kewl in a keep it oldschool kinda way.

I think everything about Michigan is over hyped. Their stadium, their unis, their helmets, and on and on.

Feel the same way about Penn State.

Now, other than OU I'm not sure who I think has cool helmets.



While I hate USC, their sweater girls, their fight song, and Helmets are pretty sweet.

Before anyone posts the yellow ones, I am referring to the deep green one and no other ones. Too bad the rest of their unis suck.

Ohio State has a good pride sticker tradition:

Out of all the ones in the Big 12 (other than OU), Baylor has a pretty cool gold helmet. The green ones suck.

I am assuming that we can't say OU, that or they are a given. I am partial to Penn State. The dark green Oregon ones are kinda cool. Don't know if I would say that it is the best. Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. Not a fan of USC's and I agree that the maze and blue is overrated.

Personally, I really like Air Force's (Bolts), 'Zona (they fit well with the unis), Nebbish (old school), TT, Mich State's (the Green), Buckeye's (almost any helmet with metal flake is badazz over other helmets), FSU, and, of course, OU's (seriously, they are understated, nice color, and flashy at the same time). I dislike USC's (it looks too industrial to me), Michigan's are overexposed, ND's are too plain, and let's face it, Florida's aren't real good looking either!

I have to agree. Same cool design, but not Michigan. That design is about as old school as it gets.
