Their team abandoned them, so now they are left as damsels in distress. Us Sooners need to go finish the job (on Jan 8/09) and rescue these young ladies. I'm sure we can all relate to their message: "Florida suck!"

Video camera to record utube video ... 300$

Price of student football ticket ... 25$

Watching dumb not hot girls talking trash before watching their team get spanked ... Priceless.

Would have been a better video if they had postgame reactions

Would have been a better video if Tennessee were actually any good.

The days of Florida Gators as the dominate team in that region are numbered. They will become just average again once traditional powerhouse programs like Miami, Florida State, Tennessee and Auburn become more competitive (both on the field and with recruiting). These schools have been average to awful for a long time now. Also, eventually, (with growth in tv exposure) even programs like South Florida, Central Florida, Florida Atlantic and Florida International will be competing better for recruits.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma Sooners will always be at or near the top (assuming we can avoid violations that killed our program in the 90's), as the Sooners recruit nationally, coupled with a core recruiting base within Texas and Oklahoma - it's a time tested formula.

You know not of what you speak.

Florida State is about to get a huge NCAA spanking.

Miami recruits locally, and has only been up when Florida was on probation. They can't compete heads up with Florida. They have no facilities.

UCF, USF, FIU, etc., get leftovers.

Tennessee does not recruit Florida, or really anywhere other than Tennessee. They had one good year, mostly aided by game rescheduling, Hurricane Katrina, and injuries.

Auburn? AUBURN? Seriously, that's just funny.

As for TV exposure, the only team in the country with more TV exposure than Florida is Notre Dame, and they have their own contract.

Games on national TV:

Florida-Georgia
Florida-Florida State
Florida-Miami
Florida-South Carolina (the Spurrier connection)
Florida-Tennessee
Florida-LSU
Florida-Alabama
Florida-Auburn

Basically, if Florida is playing anybody other than Kentucky, Vandy, or a team they pay to come to Gainesville, they are THE national game. Using your logic, therefore, Florida will continue to dominate.

Just saying that the world is changing - not necessarily drastic changes right away, but small changes over time. For example, the gap is becoming narrower between BCS teams and non-BCS teams. Historically, top players use to be happy going to the top schools and sitting on the bench for 3-4 years while waiting for their turn to start - perhaps as a junior or a senior. That will become less and less in the future, as players have more choices now, due partly to media exposure and especially to more and more smaller schools being shown on national tv. Kids are realizing that they no longer have to go sit on the bench for 3-4 years at a big school in hopes of making it to the NFL. They have more choices now to go start right away at a lesser known program, while still getting national tv explosure (although still not as great as the big schools), but it still allows them to show off their abilities and get a shot at the NFL. It also now gives them a choice of staying closer to home, at the local schools. In addition, with a substantial increase in underclassmen entering the draft after the 3rd year at school, it has become even more important to kids to be able to start right away, instead of waiting 3-4 years at a big school, just to make the first step unto the field. Also, as the non-BCS schools continue to get more competitive (and potentially even more BCS exposure) the attractiveness of these alternatives will continue to increase.

Just sayin'.
