What game should I purchase for the ps3?

I want something that will take some time to beat and has good replay value..I have the COD games....I would like a good RPG or strategy game. It just seems the ps3 is short in both categories..

Lets see...

Bioshock is a good one I hear. It's a FPS but I hear there are lots of little puzzles and is actually has lots of suspense and horror for a game.

Grand Theft Auto 4 is also a good one. Yes it's violent and all but it's one of those "real life" games. Want to know what it's like to drink and drive? You can do that in the game. Want to know what it's like go crazy in the city blowing up random stuff? Can do that in the game as well. You can do the missions but you can also waste hours just walking around doing whatever.

Resistance 1 & 2 are good FPS games I hear that are long with replay value as well.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is another 3rd Person Shooter but it's different from others. Unlike Call of Duty where you go around just shooting, in MGS4 you have to be stealthy and kill silently.

Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds is a fun game with good single and multiplayer options. Not as technical as Tiger Woods, but more fun to play. I know it's not an RPG or a strategy game, suck it.

Bioshock is excellent! Already played it through 2 1/2 times, probably do it again sometime soon. Bioshock 2 comes out late next year.

Strategy or RPG? Well, Disgaea is both. It's goofy and will take forever to complete, so if that's what you're looking for, then go for it.

Another good RPG would be Valkyria Chronicles. I've heard some good stuff about it, and it looks beautiful.

The new Prince of Persia is pretty cool. I bought it and am enjoying it.


If you're not a fan of the GTA franchise, don't think that GTA IV will change your mind. It's fun and stuff, but I'm not a huge GTA guy and I probably played it less than a week before shelving it.

Little big planet will take you forever to 100% complete. It is hell of fun and if you are online the game never ends because players make levels to beat.

Bioshock is hell of fun. One of the best stories ever

but if your looking for a game that will take a while and you can play multiple times and do tons of stuff in that is an RPG buy Fall out 3

Come to think of it, why don't we have a video game discussion board? Some other collegiate message boards, including Arkansas and LSU, have gaming threads but why not us? Plus, it gives me more incentive to decide whether I want a PS3 or a 360. Would take the 360 in a heartbeat mainly because of price but it doesn't have The Show.

RPG's aren't normally my cup of tea, but I have to say that Oblivion is fantastic. It gives you your money's worth more than any other game I have ever bought. Get the GOTY addition with the expansion and other extras included...you won't be sorry.

It is the first level in Mexico. I keep falling off the rocks into the cactus on the second pile. It is right at the beginning. Maybe it was because I was so tired last night.

Uh, Oblivion was made in like 2007 and it's only old if you've played it before. Fallout 3 uses virtually the exact same engine as Oblivion so if you like one then you'll likely like the other.

The game came out in 07 for ps3

The game is nearly 3 years old.

It uses the same engine with a ton of updates.

Edel scrolls on ps3 had 10,000 glitches.

Actually, I have the 360 for sweet Halo action. Plus, Guitar Hero wasn't available in any flavor for the PS3, so I bought GHII on 360 and just kept buying all the GH and RB games for 360 so I wouldn't have to buy a new guitar.

Back ALL the way to the original post...If you want a real RPG, play the Witcher on your PC. All those cartoonish RPGs on the consoles drive me nuts. I need to get a console so I can play some sports games, but for RPG and strategy games nothing beats a computer.

But seriously on the sports...Why the hell do I have to mod a year old Madden to play college football? Just stupid that EA and others are forcing me to buy a console. At this point I hope they DO go under so someone else can snag the licenses.

I finally kicked Uncle Jalepeno's a$$....

Man this is a cool game. If you've never played it...you should IMO.

I know there is at least one sticker needed for some signs. You can't grab the boxes, do you knock them onto the car, or pull the green stick or what?
