leaning toward Tenn or has he committed?

Do we care? Are we really after him?

I don't know that we've ever really been after him. Not positive but it seems that since we weren't hanging on his jock from the get-go he got his feelers hurt. He had committed to Tenn., then when fat-boy was let go he backed off, and I think since then he has restated his intention of going to Tenn.

Now for Rhino to come and tell us the straight dope.

I'd rather have Datwone Lowe from Carl Albert. I think that kid could really help us in years to come in our defensive backfield.

Never offered Lowe. Got the commitment from Harris and felt good about Brent.

Not sure where he ended up transferring but he managed to make the news for another reason.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Former Tennessee running back David Oku has been charged with misdemeanor domestic assault after allegedly arguing with the woman he lived with over a utility bill.

According to jail and court records, the 20-year-old was arrested Monday evening and held in jail for 12 hours. He was released Tuesday on $1,000 bond.

Court records say Elizabeth Ann Burnes asked Oku to leave the residence after he refused to pay the bill. Oku allegedly grabbed Burnes and pushed her to the ground, leaving Burnes with a scraped knee.

Tennessee announced in January Oku planned to transfer to another school after the spring semester. The Midwest City, Okla., native played in 26 games over two seasons, rushing for 268 yards and three touchdowns on 65 carries and returning 49 kickoffs for 1,175 yards.
