So, I'm looking for a bluetooth headset for my phone. I tried a fairly cheap one, and it didn't have enough volume for me to hear while driving in my car. Which is the whole point of getting one.

So, I'm sort of looking at the Jawbone 2 and the BlueAnt V1. Any thoughts? Are there others I should be considering?

Hundreds of thousands of WWII US bomber crewmen approve of these. The throat mike eliminates background noise on your end.;)

The problem is finding a phone that will accept that red jack thingy.

:D Those are Foo-Fighter headphones not Blue-Tooth! That's why the connector is different. :P

Heh. I just want one for when I'm driving, but I have to be able to hear it over road noise. The sound quality of the cheap one was fine, but it was so quiet that I couldn't hear a damn thing when driving.

Jawbone's the best one I've been able to find. I've used my wifes a couple times and like it. I have a Plantronics that's not too bad. Never had a problem with volume. It's pretty damn big though.

I have a Jawbone II and it's is the best one I have had, but it sucks when it isn't touching your face. It uses the vibrations for noice cancellation so it needs to fit well. I can actually call people from a server room so that's good. It's pretty expensive though.

I bought a Motorola noice cancellation one and it was ok. It didn't really cancel any noise though.
