I'm looking forward to this. Can't help you on who wins. I think they both got screwed playing a game so early in the bowl season. Good news is they're done for Christmas and can truly relax.

TCU wins.

One interesting note about TCU's defense is, next to the 35 they gave up in Norman, the most the allowed was 14 against UNLV and Stanford. Against UNLV the other TD came with about 2 min left while way ahead. Against Stanford they went to halftime tied 14-14, seeing that i checked the USC-Stanford box score, they were tied 17-17 at the half.

If Boise's offense is very reliant on running the ball well, I think that strongly favors TCU. That's about all i care to look at on the stats, a good reason for me to never go to Vegas.

TCU wins. Boise will not be able to run anything and they will become one-dimensional with just their passing game. I'm taking TCU in a close slugfest

TCU is solid, but I think Bosie is for real again... They handled Oregon in Oregon so they have played some decent compitition.

Score 27 -17 Bosie

Rooting for TCU to kick the loving shiate out of the horsey's though.

The best team Boise played this year was Oregon and they got lucky when they played them. Oregon had been hit with a rash of injuries and was on its 3rd string QB and it was his first meaningful gametime. Oregon almost came back to win the game but lost 37 to 32.

Boise St. got outgained and was holding for dear life at the end.

Other than that they haven't played anyone good this year. Unless you think Nevada is good and they won that game 41 to 34.

TCU has faced BYU, UTAH and OU this year. All offenses that are prolific and put up points on everyone. They also faced stanford and did a better job against them than USC who everyone slobbers over. The MWC was a hell of alot better than the WAC this year too.

the fighting Christians verses the Potato State Peters

might be one of the better bowl match ups this season.

TCU probably should have beaten UTAH while Potato State relies on a lone 'marquee' win over Oregon.

another name for this bowl game should be called the, 'i am happy coaching where I am at, and have no desire to be challenged and take a BCS coaching gig' bowl.

Rooting for TCU to kick the loving shiate out of the horsey's though.

to be fair, Oregon was on their 5th string QB by that point, and Boise cheapshotted the 4th stringer out of the game while Oregon was winning. Boise wants to be taken seriously? Leave the WAC.

With Bibles as the REF, TCU is going to win.

Did you hear ESPN said that TCU has only given up 6 TDs in the first QTR, and 3 of those where from OU!

My doctor told me I should not eat potatos.

I would also like to see BSU and Fresno St. join the PAC 10, hell they couldn't be any weaker than Washingtion or Washington St.

OK, I think I know the answer, but I have to ask..........

Now that TCU held the nation's #12 scoring offense to 16 points, will UF fans agree that maybe we have played against a team that has a quality defense?

TCU did to boise what they did to us, shut down the run and give up huge gains on the ground. of course, we were pretty obstinate about trying to run in the 2nd half with the big lead so we'd didn't slaughter their pass D.

that's one step towards us being stronger offensively/defensively than i figured us to be.

Plenty of good for OUr team as a result of tonite's game.

We did have to hear about the 2006 Fiesta Bowl a couple of times but . . .

TCU won and Oklahoma was mentioned as being the team that not only scored 35 points on the toads but was the only team to score more than 14 on em.

Another positive was that the polls and the ESPN guys continue to predict gators over the Sooners. That is exactly what we want to hear going into the big game. Let their guys think they are so good that all they have to do is show up and OUr guys go in with a mission.

This is a load of ****. TCU wouldn't compete any better in the Big XII than we have in football. And make no mistake, all they have is football. You'd gain a marginally better football team but lose what we bring to the table in other sports.

I am so f-ing sick of hearing about TCU replacing us. There are schools that I believe would be a better fit in the Big XII than us, but TCU is definitely not one of them.

Also, their fans and coach suck.

Take it easy SicEm. I think you are probably right about other sports like basketball, both men and women, but TCU definitely has the upper hand over Baylor with their football program.

As I recall, Baylor is in the Big XII due to some string pulling by a former Texas governor purely so you all could share bowl revenues. Not something Baylor had had access to before.

It is what it is and until something happens that causes the conference to be shaken up to equalize South versus North you all probably aren't going anywhere.

First, Baylor was the most logical choice to be included when the Big XII was formed behind Texas and Aggie. We went to our share of bowls prior to the Big 12's formation, so any argument that one of the other Texas SWC schools should have been included over us is a load of crap.

Second, IT WAS NOT ANN RICHARDS THAT WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR INCLUSION! Richards wasn't exactly a die hard Bear even if she did go to school here. It was Bob Bullock that was most responsible for our inclusion. Of course it was political, but that's true for all the Texas school joining the Big XII and not just us.

Hell, Baylor's one of the teams that keep it fair...we have our own Iowa State in the South! LOL

J/K Long ago I earned some repect for Baylor based on having seen some of their backs in High School and watching them perform well in college.

Besides, I wouldn't be surprised with some of their recent improvement to be competing for 3rd in the south soon and definitely hitting a lot of bowl games in the next few years.

As for TCU, have 'em replace A&M! If not that then bring 'em in when Texass whines their way into the SEC.

or CU

ISU and CU don't even offer all the 'mainstream' big 12 sports in which Baylor does. (and BU is quite successful at them aswell and offers much depth to the big 12) Sure, BU is not a football power house, but then again, neither is CU or ISU.

bottom line, Baylor is good for the big 12 (just as TCU would be good for them too, but not at the expense of Baylor)

You seriously neg me because of my opinion of TCU? Get some class, this is pathetic. I encountered many classy TCU fans at the game this year and they were extremely nice and respectful. And marginally better? That's a matter of opinion there as well my friend. I concur with we lose what you bring to the table with M/W Basketball, track, etc but that comment was directed at Iowa State from me. And your "their coach sucks" comment, I'll take Gary Patterson over Art Briles any day of the week and I think most of this board will take him and his D over Briles and his lack luster offense.(I have seen it for a long time as I played against him at Stephenville 2 different times in the playoffs).

If TCU doesn't turn over the ball, I'm not sure Boise scores more than a couple of field goals. Turnovers were all that kept this game close.
