I wonder if it helps OUr players to be more focus, more determination for the NC game than OU wins out by now. ESPN probably would praise us like the TOP of the TOP or a football team from another galaxy if OU wins out till now.

NO! Because of head to head, ESPN would declare Texas #1 and us #2.:)

our offense is peaking now though. it's kinda sick

Heupel was hurt going in, and we were kinda struggling to score after Baylor that year, and it was really bad in the last 2 games before the NC game

we are coming off 5 60+ games and the one before that was 58, 55 at half time

it seems we've tightened up a fair amount on special teams, which really had me worried.

i still think it's who blinks first. i think it's the winner of the turnover battle in this game. everyone is going to get points and yards. and i don't see a lot of FGs for either team in the red zone

I do think the loss helps and I even saw this at the pro level. I watched the '98 Broncos go 13-0 and was bummed when they lost a squeaker to the Giants (they mailed it in the next week and finished 14-2). In retrospect, the loss helped them in the playoffs deal with adversity and they won the superbowl. I'm not convinced they go all the way if they had finished an undefeated regular season.

Yeah, this is a quote from Demarco before the OSU game; it is almost identical in spirit, which shows me the guys are buying into what stoops is selling.

"I don't know why anybody would think we're the hunted," Oklahoma running back DeMarco Murray said. "We still haven't accomplished anything. We just won tonight. We're not No. 1. We haven't won anything. And we haven't won a national championship around here since 2000.

"We're still hunting to get where we need to be. And as far as that goes, we're still playing with a chip on our shoulder."

My honest opinion, even if the team goes undefeated, the facts in the above statement are still the same, and there would be no cause for cockiness.
