Right now Peterson has 1,657 yards and I believe before the season started he said he either would or wanted to have 2000 yards rushing. Does anybody think this is still possible? They have one more game left and then the playoffs are a possiblity.

Its going to be tough for him. IF they make the playoffs (and I think they will) I think he is going to be running his *^& off to hit that 2,000 yard mark.

Agreed. If the Vikings get to play in two playoff games Peterson will need about 115 yrds in each of those games.

Does the probowl count towards his total rushing yards on this season?

I'm having trouble deciding who's being facetious and who's actually nuts in this thread.

Playoff yards do not count towards season total, so to answer your question, no I do not think he can get an NFL record 343 yards at home against the Giants.

Not with TJ playing QB.

Not with those fumbles.

Not against the Gints.

Not with Childress as coach.

Other than that....he's a lock!

Exactly. NFL is different than NCAA as postseason stats don't count.

He'll be lucky to get 1800. He'll be playing against a Giants team that won't play most of their starters, so he has a shot.

Do preseason games and training camp scrimmages count toward total rushing yards also? If so, he's a lock!!!!one!!1
